Avondale House, the birth place of Charles Stuart Parnell, is situated on the R752 about one mile from Rathdrum. The easiest way to get to this is go down the M50 in the direction of Dundrum. Keep on this road and it joins with the N11(direction of Wexford). Follow the signs for Rathdrum. Allow one hour for the journey.
Another way to go is over the Sally Gap and down into Laragh and on to Rathdrum. This is probably shorter but if you dont know where you are going I would advise to stick to the N11.
