Celbridge AC were well represented at the top table of Irish sprinting and jumping over the weekend at the National Senior Championships.

On Saturday, Hannah Aspell was first up in the 200m heats, and Hannah ran a strong 27.21 finishing 4th.

John Grant ran in heat 2 of the mens 200m and ran well taking second place behind Marcus Lawler in a time of 22.48.

Eoin O’Sullivan took 3rd in heat 8 in a time of 23.40, a heat won by Simon Essuman of Tallaght AC.

Adam McInerney competed in the 5km senior walks finishing 4th in a time of 23.43.

Also on Saturday, Eoghan McGrath jumped a PB of 6.33 taking 10th place in the senior long jump.

On Sunday, John ran 7.03 in the first heat of the 60m qualifying for the semi final, where he improved again running a stunning 7.01 finishing 5th, missing out on the final by fractions of a second.

In heat 5, Eoin ran a strong 7.44, while Hannah ran 8.10 in the 3rd heat of the womenn 60m, another very strong performance .

In the womens Long Jump, Vivian Fleischer jumped 4.98 taking 8th place at the top table in womens jumps.
